Sheffield Children's University

Crescendo Music is proud to be validated as a Learning Destination with @SheffieldCU. Does your child attend a Sheffield school? Have they got a Passport to Learning? If so, they can earn CU credits at our lessons and concerts towards their next CU award.

Sheffield Children’s University encourages children and young people to try new activities in their own time. Research shows these activities (including at Crescendo Music) help children and young people to develop a range of essential life skills such as team work, leadership, communication and problem-solving, as well as helping them to develop confidence, motivation and self-esteem at the same time as making new friends and having fun.

Members of CU earn 1 CU credit per hour of extra learning they choose to take part in, in their own time, at validated Learning Destinations (approved activity providers) such as Crescendo Music. Over time, those credits will earn them special certificates and badges, some of which are presented at special award ceremonies.
