Hello
Crescendo Music is situated in the heart of Sheffield's suburb of Greystones. It has grown into an established music education centre for all ages.
At Crescendo Music, students will find a personalised education plan for each student for their music lessons, with clear, achievable and motivating goals. There are regular opportunities to perform and students can work towards exams if they would like. There isn't the frequent changing around of teachers as one may find in larger organisations.
There is also a quick and easy invoicing and payment system in place, as well as a user-friendly calendar reminder system.
Exam boards covered include Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), Trinity and Rockschool to name a few.

My Story

Crescendo Music is owned by Tierney, a local Sheffield lass who has taught music lessons for over 16 years. She studied BMus (undergraduate) and MMus (masters) from the University of Sheffield. She also has a PgCE from Sheffield Hallam University. She has previously taught at The University of Sheffield, Leeds Conservatoire, Rotherham Music and Sheffield Music Academy, as well as her own teaching. These have consisted of one-to-one classes, small groups and full classes covering piano, saxophone, guitar, music theory, composition, musicianship, listening skills and performance coaching. Students' ages and abilities range from complete beginner to A-Level and University level, from aged 6 to retired students. Previous students have gone on to study at Oxford, Warwick and Manchester universities to name a few.
With over 200 successful student exams under her belt, Tierney brings an abundance of knowledge, experience, technique and patience to her music teaching. She aims for each student to come away from each lesson with a sense of achievement and enjoyment.
Let's make music!
